This contract, signed by NYWD General Manager Jeff Maupin and NorthStar Engineer Neil Graber on 12/4/17, is for the engineering drawing for the Forbestown Ditch piping project. This 8.8 stretch of open ditch was built in Lincoln's time and has never been piped. The proposal NorthStar came up with was a 24 cfs plastic pipe partly above ground and partly below ground. A recent wildfire in the area of the Forbestown Ditch raises the question of fire resiliency for a plastic pipe that would melt in a fire.
